Sapphire and diamond ring, circa 1900. This beautiful sapphire and diamond cluster is claw-set with an untreated Sri Lankan sapphire of beautiful limpidity and a lovely sky blue tone. Unusually, it is surrounded by rose-cut diamonds, which reflect the light beautifully from their angled top facets, and were possibly taken from an even earlier jewel.
